Role Overview:

The IE Manager will lead the Industrial Engineering team to optimize production processes, improve line efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical in driving productivity, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence across the factory.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production processes
  • Conduct time and motion studies to establish accurate SMVs (Standard Minute Values)
  • Plan and balance production lines to achieve optimal efficiency
  • Monitor and analyze line performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with production, planning, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Train and mentor IE staff and production supervisors on best practices
  • Support new style development and pre-production planning
  • Prepare and present efficiency reports, KPIs, and improvement plans to management
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sustainability standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IE within a knit apparel manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of cotton knit garment production processes
  • Proficiency in SMV calculation, line balancing, and productivity analysis
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S principles
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel, IE software tools such as GSD, FastReact and ERP systems
  • Fluent in English; Khmer language skills are a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in setting up new production lines or factories
  • Knowledge of automation and digital IE tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
