Role Overview:
The Costing Accountant will play a critical role in analyzing and managing production costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes and cost structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain costing models for various cotton knit fabrications
- Analyze raw material, labor, and overhead costs across production stages
- Monitor actual vs. standard costs and investigate variances
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency
- Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and profitability analysis
- Support budgeting and inventory valuation processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
- Assist in pricing strategies and customer quotations
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in textile or manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel
- Knowledge of textile production processes is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with standard costing systems
- Familiarity with cotton knit fabric production
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output environment
- Understanding of inventory management and BOM structures
