Ghim Li acknowledges the seriousness of climate change and the impact of greenhouse gases that are causing to our planet. There is a growing need for businesses to become sustainable to ensure the protection of the environment from further damages.

The Green Touch Project is our global platform for proactive initiatives that reduce our impact on the environment and highlights green issues within our partners and client base.

Green initiatives have been kicked off to build gardens, plant trees within manufacturing partners’ own compound to allow workers to grow vegetables, herbs, plants and trees. We are also constant reviewing our wastewater treatment system and source how to further implement our energy-saving plans.

Ghim Li encourages and supports our staff in volunteering for community service initiatives that shares the love and caring of our community.

Project Golden main beneficiaries are the seniors in our community where many are alone and not taken care of. Ghim Li work with many external charity organisation whose priority is to care for the older generation. Ghim Li employees will visit these seniors accompany them for meal, chit-chat, play chess, sing songs and also to replenish some of their daily necessities.

During the festive season of giving, our employees in Singapore work together to contribute and deliver bags of blessings to the orphans in Malaysia. These bags are sponsored and specially prepared by employee of Ghim Li.

This round, we decided on hygiene bags containing daily essentials such as Shampoo, Body Wash, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Towel and a recycle bag for the kids to maintain cleanliness and reuse bags as school bags or activity bags.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility – Project Gold, we adopt a charitable cause each year. Project Golden main beneficiaries are the seniors in our community where many are alone and not taken care of. Ghim Li work with many external charity organisation whose priority is to care for the older generation. Ghim Li employees will visit these seniors accompany them for meal, chit-chat, play chess, sing songs and also to replenish some of their daily necessities. This year we have adopted Saint Theresa’s Home for our CSR project.

As most of the elderly residents of the Saint Theresa’s Home do not have regular visitors, our company has organised to visit the home and celebrate Chinese New Year with them on 29 January 2020 with songs, food and spent time with them.

 Giving back to the community has proved a tremendously enriching experience for all of us !
